On March 28th, 1955, Reba was born in McAlester, a small Oklahoma town. Before she was a country music sensation, the talented southern girl and her siblings were raised on the family’s ranch in a community called Chockie. Growing up, Reba, her brother Pike, and sisters Alice and Susie helped their parents, so she learned to cook, clean, and take care of the cattle.

As a young child, Reba was ingrained with values and learned how important it is to work hard to help contribute. These essential lessons subsequently taught her to work hard to succeed. Clearly, her upbringing helped pave the way for her successful future.
