Homegrown on the Ranch
Reba’s mother, Jacqueline, also had some big dreams; she had aspirations of becoming a country singer back in the day. Jacqueline ultimately became a school teacher because their community needed one. Her dad and grandfather were rodeo steer ropers. Steer roping, also known as steer tripping or steer jerking, is a rodeo event with a steer and mounted cowboy. Reba’s father, Clark, is a three-time world champion in it.
This might be a little hard to believe, but Reba learned to drive at an extremely young age. She was just five years old and learned to drive to help her family with the ranch. During the winter, little Reba drove her daddy’s truck and loaded bundles of hay for the cattle.
