Talented as she may be, Linda Perry, the lead singer of her former band, didn’t love the music they made. One of the main reasons she stepped away from the band was because she felt like she needed to cater to the industry’s mainstream needs.

The band has gone down as a one-hit-wonder for their song “What’s Up,” which was released under their “Bigger, Better, Faster, More!” album. Perry had much to share about being in one production that caused the band to fall apart. The music meant a lot to her, and she didn’t like how it was being communicated.
