Not Over Till Aretha Sings
We know Aretha Franklin taught herself how to play piano, but she also managed to learn Nessun Dorma, an opera aria, in just 20 minutes! That’s extremely remarkable. During the 1998 Grammy Awards, Pavarotti was set to perform but got sick at the last minute. Thankfully, Aretha Franklin stepped in and gave a brilliant performance.

Aretha Franklin’s career was in the making for half a century, so it’s safe to say she has seen a lot of presidents during her time, and they noticed her talent too. She was invited to sing at not one, not two, but three different inauguration ceremonies. I guess when the president wants you to sing, you know you made it.
