Music Was Her Life

Franklin was a good student, but she never graduated high school. Unfortunately, it was too tough considering she was a teen mom. As we mentioned, the singer was a mother of two before she turned 17. In 2010, during a benefit in Philadelphia, Franklin got to perform with Condoleezza Rice (fellow classical piano player). That’s not all she did without a high-school graduation. Franklin also earned two honorary doctorates of music. One from Yale University and the other from Berklee College of Music. That’s pretty impressive.
