He Grew Up Around Music
Born to Tommy and Lesli Wallen in Sneedville, Tennessee, on May 13, 1993, Morgan Wallen was surrounded by music throughout his childhood. His father was a preacher, and his mother was a teacher, and both of them loved hard rock and contemporary Christian music. The music in his house influenced him to start singing.

By age three, Wallen started performing at his church. He learned to play the violin a few years later. He then added the piano and guitar to his repertoire. Over the years, Wallen turned his attention to sports, and music fell to the back burner because he saw a different career path.
