In 1992, the same year Miley was born, Billy Ray Cyrus’s hit song Achy Breaky Heart made him a country music sensation. From 1986-1991 he was married to a woman named Cindy Smith, but the couple didn’t have any children. He had a brief fling with waitress Kristin Luckey, who gave birth to his child Christopher Cody in April 1992.

Meanwhile, his girlfriend, Tish Finley, welcomed Destiny Hope Cyrus that November. He nicknamed his happy baby girl Smiley, which later became Miley. He had several TV and music gigs over the years, but his second break came with Hannah Montana, where he played his real daughter’s TV dad. He starred as Robby Ray Stewart and used silly catchphrases like “dang flabbit.”
