His Parents Divorced
Adam Levine was born and raised in Los Angeles, so he grew up surrounded by people hoping to become stars. However, life wasn’t always easy for Levine. When he was seven, his parents, Fredric and Patsy, divorced. It was a confusing time for Levine, so his parents put him in therapy to cope.

Initially, Levine cried and “kicked and screamed.” However, he revealed that he was fine a few days later, but his parents wouldn’t accept that. They made him go to therapy because they didn’t want their divorce to affect him later in life, but he later said it was a waste of time.
