From Garage Band Singer to Playboy Rockstar: Adam Levine

His Mom Sparked His Passion for Music

Although his parents split, Levine claimed he had a great childhood. His parents exposed him to a wide range of music from an early age, and he described his family as musical. They appreciated all types of music, but Levine credits his mom for introducing him to his musical influences.

Levine’s mom loved artists like Simon & Garfunkel, Fleetwood Mac, and The Beatles, which shaped his music style and were a large part of his upbringing. Levine said the first tape he bought was “Electric Avenue” by Eddy Grant, and he made his parents listen to it on repeat.
