Memorable One-Hit Wonders: See Where They Are Now

What’s Up? By 4 Non-Blondes

Then: the group’s lead singer, Linda Perry, rocked our world back in 1993 with her epic cries of “hey, hey, hey…” You kind of had to ignore her fondness for large silly hats, though. But aside from the wacky hats, the song made a huge impact. Everyone turned it up and sang along in the car, in their bedrooms, and while making dinner alone in the kitchen.

Now: the band never completed their second album; they split in 1994, and Linda Perry went solo. She turned to music production, and has produced and wrote chart-topping tracks for artists like Pink’s Get the Party Started, Gwen Stefani’s What You Waiting For?, and Christina Aguilera’s Beautiful.

Perry started dating actress Sara Gilbert (who you are likely to remember from Roseanne and now stars in The Conners) in 2011. They announced their engagement in 2013 and got married a year later. Gilbert gave birth to their son, Rhodes Emilio Gilbert Perry, a year after that. Perry is also the stepmother to Gilbert’s son and daughter from a prior relationship.
