Taking His Career Solo
Michael was destined for greatness but more in the direction of a one-man show. He rose to the top while Ridgeley entered the world of motor racing and sold some albums that had little success. Ridgeley left the business, and Michael went on to become a star.
When he produced one single in 1987 as part of his album “Faith,” people went crazy for it. The tone of the music he was known for had changed, and he even earned a Grammy. His next song, “Listen Without Prejudice 1,” earned him a spot right behind MC Hammer on the British Charts in 1990.
