Beef With the Club Owner
The band was at odds with Bruno Koschmider, the owner of the nightclub they had been playing in, the Kaiserkeller. Koschmider had canceled the Beatles’ contract earlier that month after hearing that they signed another contract with a rival of his, the Top Ten Club.
Although the boys continued to play at his club for another three weeks, they still had to pack up all of their stuff (they had been staying there at the time) and move into the small room above their new performance spot, which they were planning on renting.
