N.W.A. vs. Ice Cube

If we’re going to talk about rap feuds, we have to discuss what some say is the best diss track in the history of rap music: “No Vaseline” by Ice Cube. N.W.A. was the first gangsta rap group to find mainstream fame when they got together in 1987.

Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, DJ Yella, Ice Cube, and DJ Ren focused on lyrical content about their realities growing up in Compton, California, in the ’80s and ’90. In 1988, N.W.A. released their influential record Straight Outta Compton, which went triple platinum. They started having internal tensions a year after releasing the album.
