The book was titled, Luck or Something Like It, and the singer was worried that it would make him look bad because it was focused on his scandalous behavior. We can understand his concern; people love to make assumptions.

Thankfully, the publishers calmed him down and assured him that the book’s interest would stem from his ‘rags to riches’ story and how he became such a successful country singer. They finally convinced Rogers, and he allowed the book to be printed. It was released in 2012 and dug deep into the singer’s personal life.
