The Judds may have different stories, but trauma can be shared among family members and between generations. In a memoir published in 2011, All That is Bitter & Sweet, Ashley Judd opened the floodgates to show the world her disturbing past. The story shared numerous incidents of abuse she dealt with over the years.

The book shares her firsthand accounts of sexual and physical abuse at the hands of multiple people throughout the years. Unfortunately, this abuse spanned across different perpetrators throughout her experiences. She was hurt by family members, colleagues, and supervisors and shared her memoir’s emotional details. She has shared intimate details that might make anyone feel sick.
