Who Is Nicki Minaj?

Nicki Minaj was born Onika Tanya Maraj, though she is widely known by her stage name. She was born on December 8th, 1982, in Saint James, Port of Spain, Trinidad, and Tobago. Her parents, while both from Trinidad and Tobago, have different ethnic origins; her mother is Afro-Trinidadian, and her father is Indo-Trinidadian.

She later moved to the United States with her mother and older brother. It was here that she was able to channel her passion for music and entertainment, leading her to become one of the most accomplished female rappers of all time.
