Courtney Love Pulled a Kanye Before Kanye (1996)
Courtney Love was interrupting other celebrities long before Kanye West even made it to the VMAs. Yet, most people forget that she famously, in her typical fashion, disrupted Kurt Loder’s post-red-carpet interview with Madonna at the 1996 VMAs by throwing a makeup compact at the pop singer.

Loder then invited Love to join the interview, where she continued her erratic behavior. Madonna barely kept her cool and threw some passive-aggressive shade at Love. The uncomfortable encounter goes down as one of the most cringe-worthy interviews ever caught on tape. However, it was relatively mild compared to other VMA moments.
