The two met in 2005 while partying at the Chateau Marmont, a high-end LA hotel. Well, they weren’t exactly partying. Actually, Wood, who was 19 at the time, spent most of the evening in the corner with Manson, aged 36.

Feeling estranged from the rest of the crowd, they were “hiding in the corner at a part none of us wanted to be at,” Wood told Elle magazine. The child actress felt like she had met someone who “promised freedom and expression with no judgments.”
