Live Through This
No one is sure when the bad blood between Grohl and Love truly started, but the first public record of their feud was in 2001. Four years earlier, Love, Grohl, and Krist Novoselic, another former member of Nirvana, formed Nirvana L.L.C., a limited liability company meant to manage the band’s business deals and interests.
However, something must have gone sour because, in June of 2001, she filed a lawsuit to dissolve the company. The lawsuit also blocked the release of any unreleased Nirvana material. The former band members counter sued Love and called her “irrational, mercurial, self-centered, unmanageable, inconsistent and unpredictable.” She responded by saying that “Kurt Cobain was Nirvana,” and she and their daughter were the band’s “rightful heirs.”
