She Set Her Apartment on Fire
Love was renting out a luxury townhouse in Greenwich Village, but her landlord wasn’t happy. Love was already $54,000 behind on her rental payments (two months behind on her $27,000 per month rental). On the verge of eviction, Love took it to the extreme. How? Well, she burned down the house.

In December 2011, she started a fire in her bedroom, leading the fire department to come and put it out. By then, the flames had spread to the curtains and bed. The landlord went ahead and evicted Love after determining that the damage totaled about $100,000.
Love accidentally started a fire in the same apartment earlier that year in June. She claimed it was a candle that set it off. But…who knows?
