When I was ten, I found an old, scratched Ray Charles record at a flea market. I didn’t know it yet, but that record would last longer than most things in my life and shape nearly all of them. I played it again and again, not just to hear the music but to feel what was inside it.

I studied music and culture, worked at the Country Music Hall of Fame, and played late-night gigs in Austin. I saw something clear after all that.

Music connects people, money, stories, and how we see ourselves.

I wanted to create a space where all of that could coexist. That’s when I came across Musicoholics!

A place where we could ask real questions. Where we could honor legends, and also take a moment to discuss just one line in a song. Where a brand-new fan feels as welcome as someone who’s been into music forever.

This isn’t a gossip site. It’s not about flash or silly stuff.

I’m lucky to work with a team of writers who love the small stuff as much as the big stuff. We work on stories about:

  • Artists who changed things and what they left behind
  • How money, fame, and music all connect
  • Songs and albums that broke records or became treasures
  • Music styles that helped shape cities and whole groups of people
  • Words in songs that say what we can’t
  • The instruments and platforms that carry music forward

Every story we write is meant to be real, helpful, and true. We, at Musicoholics, do our homework, and we care about what a song meant to someone, somewhere, at the exact time they needed it.

Thanks for stopping by!
